A.C. Goatham and sons has been one of the most important customers of tree nursery Johan Nicolai for a long time. As a result, they were also familiar with the Zouk breeding program.
Being one of the leading fruit companies in England, the growing consumer demand for more English apples made them look forward to broadening their assortment.
There was a need for an apple that could withstand competition from abroad and that could be grown in their climate. After several tastings in the presence of their customers: retailers, they decided to opt for ZOUK16. Their goal is not to broaden the existing range in the stores, but rather to avoid imported fruit with local products.

- AC Goatham received a temporary exclusivity clause for sale and production valid in the U.K. until 2028.
- ZOUK16 will be available in the autumn of 2019 in stores in the United Kingdom.
